The way you talk does disrespect, but from you that's what I'd expect
The wicked words that come out of you, imprint on me just like a tattoo
I close my eyes and block my ears, as I have for many years
I try to leave but you block my path, wanting me to endure your wrath
Screaming at you to let me be, you merely laugh at my desperate plea
I push you aside and your eyes grow wide
A sharp slap upside my head leaves me with the sensation of being dead
I lie there on the floor, staring at the open door
My body numb I see you come
As you spit in my eye you give a sigh
Saying you are mine. Chills go down my spine
I am not an object or a possession, nor do I want to be part of your crazy obsession
I wait for you to leave, and when you're gone I do believe
That somehow, someday, I will get away

No Longer Blind
As you stand there I can't help but stare
Seeing you so low, missing your happy glow
This is not who you are, it makes me feel bizarre
You're not the same person anymore, the person that I did adore
You turn to me and say, you go through this everyday
Feelings of bitter and of sorrow, believing like theres no tomorrow
Why should I go on, when everything I loved has gone
The words you speak to me, truly hurt me terribly
I try to reach to you, but get rejected with a shoo
I love you so, but you say go
Leaving me empty and depressed. I once was blessed
Thinking all was right, before I saw you here tonight
I disobey and choose to stay but get pushed away to my dismay
Alone in the dark, you left a mark
Like a dart shot through the center of my heart
Tears swell up in my eyes but then to my surprise
I feel your hand upon my shoulder. I feel much colder
The feelings I had for you did pass, I see so clearly like through a magnifying glass
You never cared for me, it was all a sham. But I still followed you, like a little lamb
You come and go as you please, now I know your just a sleaze
Playing with my mind, I was so blind
But now I see. You're not for me
Seeing you so low, missing your happy glow
This is not who you are, it makes me feel bizarre
You're not the same person anymore, the person that I did adore
You turn to me and say, you go through this everyday

Breakthrough
You're all alone, hoping your futures not set in stone
You try to connect, but they all reject
Walking away wishing they will follow, if not today then maybe tomorrow
But they didn't, and they never will. You start to feel ill, standing perfectly still
They think you're fine, but thats all a lie. When inside you feel like you're gonna die
But you don't cry, just say goodbye and walk on by. But why?
When you have no heading, no destination
Just the temptation to reach a location
Where you'll feel whole, thats now your goal
Fingers crossed you take a chance, a new stance
Walking into the world alone and unprepared, but you're not scared
For once you don't care, say a little prayer
You are now aware of what you must do
You'll no longer feel blue
You've just had a breakthrough
You try to connect, but they all reject
Walking away wishing they will follow, if not today then maybe tomorrow
But they didn't, and they never will. You start to feel ill, standing perfectly still
They think you're fine, but thats all a lie. When inside you feel like you're gonna die
But you don't cry, just say goodbye and walk on by. But why?

You'll no longer feel blue
You've just had a breakthrough

On Your Own
Sitting awake in bed, go rest your weary head
Thoughts racing through your mind, leave them all behind
It's time to sleep, no need to weep
I'll watch over you, it's the least that I can do.
You were there for me, filling my life with glee
I want to repay, my debt to you today
But when I leave, it's hard for me to breathe
Because when we're apart, it breaks my heart
Knowing the pain you feel, it's almost surreal
Wondering how you'll cope, I can only hope
That you can make it on your own
Thoughts racing through your mind, leave them all behind
It's time to sleep, no need to weep
I'll watch over you, it's the least that I can do.
You were there for me, filling my life with glee
I want to repay, my debt to you today
But when I leave, it's hard for me to breathe
Because when we're apart, it breaks my heart
Knowing the pain you feel, it's almost surreal
Wondering how you'll cope, I can only hope
That you can make it on your own
Snake
I see you slither towards me
I'm cornered and you're all I can see.
No where to escape to,
You coil around me turning me blue.
Sharp fangs pierce my skin,
You can't imagine the pain that I'm in.
As your venom runs through my veins,
I look up to the sky as it rains.
Tears trickle down my chin,
My head begins to spin.
I can no longer pretend,
This is the end.
You sinister snake, poisoning my mind
I'm glad that you're the only one of your kind.
I'm cornered and you're all I can see.
No where to escape to,
You coil around me turning me blue.
Sharp fangs pierce my skin,
You can't imagine the pain that I'm in.
As your venom runs through my veins,
I look up to the sky as it rains.
Tears trickle down my chin,
My head begins to spin.
I can no longer pretend,
This is the end.
You sinister snake, poisoning my mind
I'm glad that you're the only one of your kind.
